I don’t know if you've ever played traditional role playing games (RPG) when you were younger, such as Dungeons & Dragons or Pathfinder. I did not, however I always kind of wanted to. As it happens I’m on my first D&D adventure this Sunday. Cannot wait. For the record, I’m going to be a Human Ranger with an unhealthy obsession with Owls...
What we have here is a sort of parody of those ‘dungeon exploration’ games that simplifies them in a way where anybody can play it. The rules and object of the game are simple and are outlined right on the box:
“Kill the Monsters, Steal the Treasure & Stab Your Buddy”
The game is designed by nerd legend Steve Jackson, who is a top bloke and has designed loads of funny, simple and ingenious games. If you want some serious fun and a lot of laughs, you stand a pretty good chance when you’re fighting a Level 2 Large Angry Chicken with your Chainsaw of Bloody Dismemberment. We played this at the last Epic Powwow and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. We’ve also played it at my regular games night on Thursdays at Bar Loco, all are welcome. Steve's Zombie Dice are also a big hit at games night! Displayed here is the deluxe edition as it comes with a board and miniatures which come in handy when tracking the progress of the game. You can however get the basic card game for a few less quid. Also, there are a ridiculous amount of expansions equaling endless amounts of backstabbing fun!
