Our awesome client is looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Product Owner to join their
The main purpose of this role is envisioning the future of products and working with
stakeholders, development teams and users to realise it.
The Product Owner we are looking for:
Includes managing the product backlog, benefit analysis, minimum viable product, prioritisation, acceptance criteria and reviewing completed work. It
Someone to work closely working and build relationships with both internal customers and development teams.
You must be technically competent to be able to understand the systems, and prioritise and
work with internal customers and developers to decide product direction.
You must be comfortable allowing the development teams to come up with the solutions, while you will be their knowledge base and proxy for the business.
Duties & Responsibilities as Product Owner:
Drive the product vision and strategy to enhance our websites, mobile and business apps
Building strong relationships with internal customers and stakeholders
Develop a deep understanding of current and potential use of our software products
Product backlog management
Working with the stakeholders to prioritise user stories
Maximise value created by the development teams for your product
Maintaining the development teams focus on delivering value, balancing multiple
streams of requirements so that they can concentrate on what they do best
Working with development teams in estimation and planning sessions
Documenting progress on work completed for feedback to the business
Creation of documentation such as user guides for the relevant business stakeholders
The Product Owners Education & Experience:
● Demonstrable experience of working in an agile scrum environment, ideally as a PO.
● Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
● An understanding of how development work feeds into wider business delivery.
● An understanding of software development and design.
● An analytical mind set.
● Track record delivering high quality software in a timely fashion.
● Experience in estimating the value of software features, and in cost-benefit analysis
and constructing business cases.
● Experience of managing a product backlog
