We had only heard good things so when the opportunity came up for #SundayLunch at #HouseOfTides this week we jumped at it!
We weren't disappointed on the food front, in fact we would give it 9 out of 10! The Chicken Liver Parfait was delicious, the toasted brioche accompaniment melted in the mouth! As is often the case though, the parfait to brioche ratio was sadly lacking.
There was a special Turkey main course available on the lunch set menu and being fine dining I expected something quite small and not very filling. In fact the portion was humongous, the Turkey was moist and tender and it certainly had all the trimmings! The braised red cabbage was a highlight. The slight acidity meant there was no need to ask for anything like cranberry sauce. The Gravy was aromatic warming and comforting, again the ratio wasn't quite right but then I'm a Yorkshire lass who loves her gravy!
